Announcement Following on from the Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited’s submission of a Transport and Works Act Order on 20 January 2025, we are delighted to announce that their application was approved by the Welsh Ministers on Monday 19 May 2025. The decision letter can be found here 250520 Welsh Ministers’ decision letter. The order provides statutory authority for the Vale of Rheidol Railway Limited to operate the Brecon Mountain Railway subject to the completion of the intended sale of the BMR to the Vale of Rheidol.
