  • Drinks – Hot teas, coffees & cold refreshments.

  • Cream & Afternoon Teas – Scones, sandwiches, pastries & a pot of tea (pre-booked only)

  • Outdoor picnic seating with views of the steam railway.

Pontsticill Station Lakeside Café

Open 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM on all running days

Relax by the reservoir at our charming café housed in vintage railway carriages.

On the Menu:

  • Cold Snacks – Sandwiches, wraps & savoury bites, and ice creams

  • Sweet Treats – Cakes, Welsh Cakes, brownies & more.

  • Hot & Cold Drinks – Tea, coffee, soft drinks.

Extras:

  • Dog-friendly with outdoor seating.

  • Scenic picnic tables overlooking Pontsticill Reservoir and the mountains.

Afternoon Tea

Your table is set with an array of scones, clotted cream, jam, assorted sandwiches, cakes, French pastries, and fresh fruit. Complimented with tea, coffee, water, or juice.

Served from 1 pm to 2 pm, this is the perfect indulgence after your 11 am train journey or before the 3 pm departure. Whether paired with a scenic ride or enjoyed on its own, this is an experience not to be missed! Though it’s called afternoon tea, the generous portions often lead to guests leaving with a ‘doggy bag’!

PLEASE NOTE This service is offered in our Pant Station tea rooms, not on the train. Train travel is not included and must be booked separately.
