Pant Station Tearooms

Open 09:30 – 14:30 on all running days
A warm welcome awaits — no train ticket required.

Whether you’re joining the train or simply visiting Pant for refreshments, our Tearooms offer a relaxed, family-friendly space with great views of the steam railway.

On the Menu

Pant Station is the best place to start or finish your day, and a popular stop for walkers and locals as well as railway visitors.

Pontsticill Station Lakeside Café

Open 11:00 – 16:00 on all running days
Relax beside the reservoir at our carriage-style café.

Set in beautifully restored railway carriages, the Lakeside Café offers one of the most scenic refreshment spots in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons). Perfect for families enjoying the play area or anyone wanting a tranquil break by the water.

  • Sweet Treats – cakes, Welsh cakes, brownies and more

  • Ice Creams – always popular on warm days

  • Hot & Cold Drinks – teas, coffees, soft drinks and bottled water

Afternoon Tea

Your table is set with an array of scones, clotted cream, jam, assorted sandwiches, cakes, French pastries, and fresh fruit. Complimented with tea, coffee, water, or juice.

Served from 12.30 pm to 2 pm, this is the perfect indulgence after your 10.30 am train journey or before the 2.30 pm departure. Whether paired with a scenic ride or enjoyed on its own, this is an experience not to be missed! Though it’s called afternoon tea, the generous portions often lead to guests leaving with a ‘doggy bag’!
