WELCOMING “BLUES ECHOES” TO THE BMR!
We were thrilled to host Bill Taylor‑Beales and Phil Okwedy at the BMR in August to film the official trailer for Blues Echoes. Bill is a Wales‑based musician and songwriter, while Phil is a storyteller, facilitator and writer; together they work in theatres, festivals and diverse communities ranging from schools and veterans’ groups to refugees.
Blues Echoes (presented by Hushland Creative) blends myth, legend, social history and autobiographical stories with music from the blues tradition. Through their voices and songs, the Barnone Brothers explore themes such as enslaved peoples, working‑class poverty and protest, the industrial struggles of the 19th & 20th centuries, and humanity’s 21st‑century experiences. It’s a moving celebration of resilience and hope.
