Join Us for Our 2026 Croeso Day at Brecon Mountain Railway (Trade only)

We’re delighted to announce our Brecon Mountain Railway Croeso Day, taking place on Tuesday 17th March 2026 — a special open day created especially for local accommodation providers and attraction owners.

Each year, the Brecon Mountain Railway welcomes over 60,000 visitors, many of whom are looking for memorable places to stay, great attractions to visit, and unique experiences to enjoy while they’re in the area. Our Croeso Day is all about working more closely together — building stronger relationships with local businesses and helping each other showcase the very best of Mid and South Wales.

What’s the idea behind Croeso Day?

Quite simply: better connections mean better visitor experiences.

Word-of-mouth recommendations are one of the most powerful ways visitors discover new places. By inviting you to experience the railway first-hand, we hope to:

  • Show you what makes the Brecon Mountain Railway special

  • Share ideas on how we can support each other’s businesses

  • Explore simple, practical ways we can work together to inspire visitors

  • Help you confidently recommend the railway to your guests and customers

What to expect on the day

We’ve put together a relaxed and enjoyable morning that gives you a real flavour of what we do:

  • From 10:00 – Arrival at Pant (CF48 2UP) and opportunity to look around the site, including a visit to the workshop and railway shop

  • Or from 10:30 – Join us for complimentary refreshments in the café

  • 11:00 – Short presentation from the Brecon Mountain Railway team

  • 11:30 – Board the train for a scenic journey into the Brecon Beacons

  • 11:55 – Arrive at Torpantau, with time to enjoy the views and take photos

  • 12:05 – Depart Torpantau

  • 12:30 – Arrive back at Pant

It’s a great chance to see the railway from a visitor’s point of view, ask questions, and chat informally about how we can support one another.

More than just a visit

On the day, we’ll also be happy to talk about:

  • Our Winter Diesel Week services

  • The Easter Bunny Ticket

  • Our Local Discount Card for residents

  • And how our sister railway, the Vale of Rheidol Railway, can help promote local businesses through its leaflet distribution service across Mid and West Wales

How to get involved

If you’re a local accommodation provider or attraction owner, we’d love you to join us. Places can be booked in advance, and when booking, please let us know if you have any access or special requirements so we can make sure everything is in place for you.

And if you can’t make this date, don’t worry — get in touch and we’ll be happy to arrange a visit at a time that suits you.

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you and working together to showcase the very best of the Brecon Beacons, Mid Wales and South Wales to our visitors.
